Decorating for the Holidays

Now, I don't want to consider myself a pro, BUT I do know a thing or two about decorating for my most favorite holiday EVER

It’s finally November!!! And you know what that means?!? We’re that much closer to Christmas 😍😍!! If y’all have been around for a while you already know.. BUT if you’re new here, let me fill you in. Christmas is HANDS-DOWN my most favorite time of the year!!! Everyone is so happy and joyful and I absolutely love it. The decorations, the music, and don’t even get me started on the food!

Call me crazy, but once November hits, I’m ready 👏🏻 to 👏🏻 go 👏🏻. I already have all my festive decorations out, and of course, made my way to the local Hobby Lobby for a few more!!! SO, on that note, I’m here to bring you guys a little inspo on how to decorate for the holidays. Now, I don’t want to consider myself a pro, BUT I do know a thing or two about decorating for my most favorite holiday EVER 😉🤪 Let me show ya!

1. The MOST OBVIOUS: A Christmas TreeIMG_7996

I don’t skip on this one in the least bit considering I have THREE Christmas Trees. Obviously not big ones because now that’s just excessive (😂), but I do have my normal-sized one (not pictured because it’s not fully decorated yet I’m sorry), a medium-sized one, a small one and then I do have some baby ones scattered, but we won’t count those hahah. These are the perfect way to add a lot of festivity to your home and even light it up a little with the string lights!! You don’t need to break the bank on these either, you can find some pretty affordable fake trees at Hobby Lobby!

IMG_80042. Elf (or gnome) on the Shelf

This can be the actual “elf on the shelf” tradition a lot of people carry on where you have to spot the little elf of the shelf and then rehide him for someone else to find! In my case, I got a cute stuffed gnome and used him as a nice decorative piece in my living room (plz no one move him and “hide” him, thanks) 😂😂😂 . There are a few other decorations to accompany him on the shelving around my fireplace including a snowman, some word boxes, a sleigh, and other color-coordinated pieces!

3. Blanket LadderIMG_7988

This super trendy piece can add some layers to the room and be super helpful when you decide to have a few friends over! Cozy night in with your significant other? It’s great for that too! Get 2-3 blankets that coordinate in color and layer away! It’s a cute way to decorate while keeping some of the most important pieces out for the winter season 🥶☃️ Throw battery operated lights, a wreath, and some ornaments and you have yourself a holiday ladder! The best part about this, once the holidays are over you can leave it up and still have a decorative piece! I found my ladder for $35 at an old vintage store which adds extra character.

4. Festive Bed Decorations

This is absolutely not a must-have, but I really like to go overboard and spice up every room for the Holidays. Even if that means making my bed look like it came right out of a Better Homes magazine 😂😂. I love this little addition to my hubby and I’s room. It’s super festive and nice to see throughout the day. It’s even a little extra motivation to make sure the bed is all put together in the morning (let’s be real I do it every day anyway because #routines). So, if you need that extra push or another decoration to add to the list then this tray and tree combo is perfect for you!! Just like the ladder from number 3, this can be something that you can keep even when the holidays are over, just stack some books and a candle!

5. Extra Touches Around the House

There are so many extra little things to add around the house to make it Christmas ready!! Seriously though, just walk into Home Goods or any type of crafty/decoration store and you’ll be overwhelmed with all the options. I got a lot of fillers for around the house, such as, wreaths, tinsel, word boxes, pillows, and so many other little things that make the place feel more festive and home-y. Check it out!!!

I hope you enjoyed this Christmas decorations blog!! Please tag me in your re-creations of these ideas. I’d love to see!! If you’re looking for any of these items, below is a handful on rotation for you to shop 😁😁

Until next time.

Peace and Love,
