Staying active during my first pregnancy was one of the best things I did, so I have made sure to prioritize it this time as well.

Sure my workouts look different, I’m not able to use as much weight, I get out of breath quicker, I feel more fatigued, etc. but I know this is just a phase of my life that is temporary 🙌🏼

I wrote this workout for LWL for an upcoming week and wanted to test it out, I did it over the weekend and it was SO good. I’ll definitely be coming back to this one more!

If you need a good full body workout, this is IT!

I’m so grateful my body is still able to workout this far into pregnancy, I was lucky to when I was pregnant with Mia as well and I truly think it made my delivery and recovery so much better.

30 Minute EMOM (6 rounds)
1. Squat to upright row x 40 sec
2. DB rear delt flyes x 15
3. DB bilateral row x 15
4. Ball Slams/DB hammer curls x 20 seconds each
5. DB step ups x 40 seconds
6. Single arm DB row 8 each arm

I would say the number one thing I’m the most scared about with baby #2 is not being able to give Mia my full attention. And I think these feelings are totally normal.
.
Right now if she needs something I can drop anything I’m doing to help her. Obviously that won’t be realistic with a newborn, especially those first few weeks when they’re so demanding.
.
I sometimes feel guilty about not having more one on one time with Mia but I just hope her and her little brother will be best friends. For now we’re gonna soak in these moments with just her ❤️
.
Although things might look different after he’s here, this little girl will always be my baby 🫶🏼
She’s going to have a built in play mate for life and I can’t wait to see how great of a big sister she will be 🥹

LWL HOME WORKOUT!! . This was the LWL home workout

LWL HOME WORKOUT!!

This was the LWL home workout for Tuesday and I did it this morning..it felt SO good!!!
I made a few adjustments for pregnancy of course but had the best workout! Save it for later if you need a good one!
.
TABATA STYLE: you do each exercise for 20 seconds on, 10 seconds of rest, 8 times. Once you do all 8 rounds of each movement, you move onto the next!
.
These were broken into 3 segments.
.
1st Block:
12 Minute Workout:
1. DB Deadlift x 8, 20 sec on, 10 sec rest
2. DB Upright Rows x 8, 20 sec on, 10 sec rest
3. Mountain Climbers 8, 20 sec on, 10 sec rest (pregnancy alternative I did DB Thrusters)

Rest 2 minutes then..
.
2nd Block:
12 Minute Workout:
1. DB Forward Lunges x 8, 20 sec on, 10 sec rest
2. Burpees x 8, 20 sec on, 10 sec rest (pregnancy alternative either ball slams or squat to calf raise)
3. Seated Knee Tucks x 8, 20 sec on, 10 sec rest (pregnancy alternative bird dogs)

Rest 2 minutes then..

3rd Block:
12 Minute Workout:
1. Line Jumps x 8, 20 sec on, 10 sec rest (pregnancy alternative DB Step ups)
2. Down Dog Toe Touches x 8, 20 sec on, 10 sec rest (pregnancy alternative deep squat weighted hold)
3. DB Bilateral Row x 8, 20 sec on, 10 sec rest

Chocolate Chip Sourdough Cookies with Mia 🥰😍🍪

I can’t wait for a thousand more memories just like this one.

Ingredients:
1 stick cold butter
1/2 cup coconut sugar
1/2 cup regular sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup sourdough starter (I used active but you could use discard too)
1 1/2 c whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips
.
1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Mix together butter, coconut sugar, regular sugar until fully mixed
3. Add egg and vanilla, mix
4. Add baking powder, baking soda, salt, add flour, mix all to combine
5. Stir in chocolate chips
6. Scoop heaping tablespoon onto parchment paper lined baking sheet
7. Bake about 10-12 minutes until cookies are golden
8. ENJOY!!!!
