Healthy Ranch Dip

Snacks, snacks, and more snacks! Instead of reaching for the pretzels, popcorn, and chips… reach for the veggies and dip!

I still have days when all I want to do is snack, or nights when Tommy and I are watching Dancing with the Stars and I need something to chew on.  I’ve come to love raw veggies dipped in ranch dressing – it is my go-to snack when I’m craving something crunchy and salty. However, I have a pretty sensitive stomach when it comes to dairy so regular ranch dressing doesn’t sit well with me.   I’m not going to let my processed dairy sensitivity prevent me from eating foods I love, so I found an alternative using Greek yogurt! Yes, Greek yogurt is still dairy, but because it is heavily strained, some of the lactose is removed which makes it easier for our bodies to digest.  If you struggle digesting dairy, then this recipe is going to be one of your new favorites! By mixing up your own dip using Greek yogurt, your result will be an easier to digest, higher protein, and lower carb dip than one made with regular yogurt, so it’s a win-win!

This ranch dip is not only healthier, but you will find it tastes better and has a thicker consistency.  It takes only minutes to make and will keep for several days in the refrigerator.

Ingredients:

1½ Tbsp.  Hidden Valley Ranch Dips Mix

1 c. fat free Greek yogurt (I use Fage)

½ tsp. salt

½ tsp. pepper

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and serve with cut up vegetables, chips, or even buffalo wings!

Until next time.

Peace & Love,
